My favorite part of the job is saving people who are overpaying on their insurance policies thousands of dollars!

After graduating from college in 2004 I began my career in the insurance and financial services working as a captive insurance agent in Anchorage, AK. As a captive insurance agent I quickly realized by representing only 1 insurance carrier I wasn’t able to provide the best service for my clients. After moving to Arizona, I then transitioned to then became an insurance broker where I represent numerous insurance carriers and find the best carrier to fit any clients needs.

Being an independent insurance agent allows me to tailor an insurance quote for the needs of any client instead of being forced to only offer 1 specific carrier regardless of if that quote actually fulfills what the client is looking for and/or if the client even fits the niche market of a particular insurance carrier.When not working I can be found with my 2 girls. My girls can often be found with me at the office. They even have begun helping with simple office tasks around the office. My youngest has begun telling everyone that when she grows up she is going to become an insurance agent just like her mom!

My background is in Corporate Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting. Early on, I thought that is what I wanted to do for my career. After receiving a degree in Finance with Minors in Accounting and Economics and then adding some work in Grad School, I figured I was all set for my exciting career in Corporate Finance. I worked for large international companies like Hertz Corporation, Accenture, and Fireman’s Fund Insurance.

But… was not exciting.

It was mechanical.

It was monotonous.
It was meeting… after meeting…. after meeting. However, I was not meeting with the customers/the clients/ the End Users- and this is what was missing.
The best part of my day is talking to clients and working to find the best Carrier and the best Policy for them. I work directly with you throughout the process to make sure your needs are met to the fullest. After your policy is in place, I continue to actively manage your account to ensure your assets are properly covered so you don’t have to worry. I enjoy working with my clients to help them understand their policy and answer their questions. What is Permissable Use? What’s the difference between Comprehensive and Collision? How do I obtain a Letter of Experience? What coverages am I legally required to carry?
Put me to work for you. We work with over a dozen carriers to find the best one for you. Every carrier has an “appetite” which is their definition of their “preferred” customer. The closer you are to this preferred profile, the better change you have of getting a good premium. With multiple carriers, I have a better chance of finding the carrier that prefers you.
When not working for you, I can usually be found at one of my daughter’s many activities (soccer, track, swimming, etc.) working in my yard, or spending time with my pets (3 dogs, one horse, one little brown pony).
